Bret Van Horn is a writer based in Portland, Oregon. Feeblebunny and the 24 Keys is his debut middle-grade novel.

Bret found his early influences in John Christopher’s Tripods trilogy, The Three Investigators series, Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle, and the requisite diet of Star Wars, The X-Files, and far too many Twilight Zone reruns.

When he’s not writing, he records music under the name ghostmarket, makes photographs that occasionally end up in frames, and tinkers with audio electronics until something makes noise, oscillates, or sparks.

He lives atop an extinct cinder cone volcano with his wife, alongside two large dogs, a basement cat, an abundance of gadgets and music gear, and at least one crow who seems to be keeping an eye on things outside.
