About the Author
Bret Van Horn is a writer, musician, and maker based in Portland, Oregon. Feeblebunny and the 24 Keys is his debut upper middle-grade novel.
Bret has written for both local and national publications. He's covered music, culture, and at times his own short fiction stories. Bret found his early influences in John Christopher’s Tripods trilogy, The Three Investigators series, Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle, and the requisite diet of Star Wars, The X-Files, and far too many Twilight Zone reruns.
When he’s not writing, he records under the name ghostmarket, takes photographs that occasionally end up in frames, and tinkers with audio electronics until something makes noise, oscillates, or sparks.
He lives with his wife alongside two large dogs, a basement cat, an abundance of gadgets and music gear, and at least one crow who seems to be keeping an eye on things outside.
